The tree, at 40 seconds into the video, struck me as reminiscent of the painting by Elemore Morgan, Jr.–”Live Oak”.

Beausoleil Broussard led the Acadian people from Nova Scocia to Louisiana in the late 1700’s, now the Beausoleil house can lead the Acadian people to the sustainable future. Beausoleil was a revolutionist.

A very commendable effort by these young UL architects. Pictures of Cajun homes bring back fond memories of my stay in Lafayette. My best wishes in your endeavor in La Solar Homes. Steven ‘86 (Malaysia)

Excellent video on your hard work with La solar home for BeauSoleil. Very professional and brings pride knowing a LA school of architecture was chosen. Congrats to ULL, the head of architecture and staff, especially the students who are bringing their goal to pass. The Architects Licensing Board is proud to help sponsor. We wish you the best. “Teeny”

As a native Louisianan, I could not be more proud of these students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, who conceived, designed, and now are executing the BeauSoleil Solar Home project. It is the wave of the future, and so are they.
